Quarterly Newsletter 2026 Jan – Mar

Letter from Jung Dangshing, New Height Ministry Director

Dear Ministry Partners,

As our ministry crosses the threshold of a new year, my heart is overflowing with gratitude and praise for your prayers and financial support. Through you, God is helping New Heights Ministry (NHM) to more effectively serve the non-Christian tribal villagers, Christian tribal villagers, and Myanmar refugees to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We have a strong and dedicated team of evangelists and pastors who are serving in the least-reached areas of Northern Thailand. They introduce the Gospel to the villagers and refugees by their deeds and their words. In the past year, God has opened doors allowing us to provide in-depth Bible teaching to young Christian villagers who are seeking to become the next generation of evangelists, church leaders, and Christian teachers. Our primary focus of NHM remains to share the Gospel and make disciples of Christ who will transform families, communities, and nations through faith in Jesus Christ.

God is showing us that our holistic evangelism is effective in reaching even the most remote villagers with the love of Christ. Though our evangelism methodology is a multiyear approach, it produces believers who are confident in their faith and committed to living for Jesus. I’ll share more on our holistic evangelism in the next newsletter. In closing, allow me to repeat my heartfelt love and appreciation for your prayers and financial support. Please know all of us from NHM who are working here in Thailand praise God for you, and we pray for your well-being and His rich blessings for you.

In His Service,

Jung Dangshing

Director, New Height Ministry

New Height Ministry Events, January – March, 2026

Equipping Young Christian Leaders. A significant event this quarter was a large Youth Bible Camp and Seminar hosted in the Mae La Refugee Camp. The Bible Camp was organized by churches from the Karen State, Mon State, and Shan State of Myanmar, along with churches from the Mae Hong Son and Tak Provinces of Thailand. The theme of the camp was Ephesians 4:11-12, where the Apostle Paul proclaims that God will equip His people as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to build up the body of Christ. These young Karen youths were seeking to be equipped to serve God and His church.

New Heights Ministry began working with the Mae La Refugee camp and the Nong Bua church last year. As a result of that exposure, the organizers of the Youth Bible Camp asked Jung Dangshing to participate in the Bible teaching. The Camp officials knew Jung from his previous work with the Mae La Refugee Camp and approved his participation. Four hundred youth attended the two-week Bible camp. Jung taught two sessions each day for the first five days of the camp. New Heights Ministry also provided rice and other food items to support feeding the young people and their leaders.

This is just a small number of the youth in attendance. Please notice the smiles on their faces as they are saturated by the Word of God during this two-week Bible Camp and Seminar.

Working Together to Spread the Gospel. Your
financial support and prayers have given New
Heights Ministry the ability to encourage and
support indigenous evangelists who are giving
their lives to Jesus to share the Gospel. These
individuals are unaligned and unsponsored
evangelists who have come to the attention of New
Heights ministry. We take great joy in being able
to provide financial assistance, allowing them to
give their time to share the Gospel. Like New
Heights Ministry evangelists, these individuals live
the culture and speak the language of the Karen
tribal villagers. Oftentimes, these individual
evangelists are not Bible college or Bible school
graduates. For them, preaching the Gospel is a gift
of the Holy Spirit. They are compelled to spread

the Gospel without any expectation or remuneration for their time and efforts. Saw Thabyu Samuel, shown above, is one of these amazing evangelists. He shares the Gospel in words and deeds. Samuel leads a group bible study in one of the refugee camps. In this photo below, Samuel is baptizing a woman from his Bible study who accepted Christ. The other men behind Samuel also have accepted Christ and were baptized. The refugees could not leave the camp, so Saw used a cement mixing tub to baptize these new believers.

Looking Ahead. New Height
Ministry is set for another
remarkable year. We already
have a full calendar of sharing
the Gospel and leading Bible
teaching in the Tha Song Yang
District, Tak Province; Mae Ra
Mat District, Tak Province; Sop
Moei District, Mae Hong Son
Province; Mae Sariang District,
Mae Hong Son Province; and
Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai
Province. We are also in the
early planning stage of
constructing another fresh water
concrete tank that will take place
later this year, between the
harvest and planting new crops.

Ministry Director Jung Dangshing in front of the latest water tank and Dell Giddings, NHM Board Chairman, is on top of the tank. Del engineered the water tank and led the construction team. This tank was constructed in seven days.

Our twenty-thousand-gallon water tanks have a huge impact on the health and well-being of the villagers and serve as a monument to the love of Christ for each believer. Please know that your support makes the work of NHM a reality.

New Heights Ministry Prayer Needs.

Thailand’s energy industry has been impacted by the Iran War. The country has only two months of oil supply and has begun rationing gasoline. This rationing will impact village visits. Please pray that God will enable our current schedule of village visits and Bible teachings to go forward as planned.

As announced late last year, NHM is seeking to provide new Christian villages with a church building and a pastor. This church building will serve the entire village as a community center during the week and the village believers on Sunday. In addition to a worship center, the church building will house a nursery, a kitchen, meeting rooms, and an office for the pastor and church staff. This church building program will also help NHM to develop Christian church leaders. The building will also have a covered pavilion for community events and bathrooms. The building will be suited for the village culture, but will also be designed to honor God.

The photo on the right is a depiction of what the
church worship center might look like. We have
spoken with an architecture firm in Chiang Mai and
have an estimate of $13,500 to design the structure
and provide a complete set of construction
drawings. We have already raised $4,475 towards
our goal. NHM will raise this money separately and
will maintain the full financing of the ministry as
our highest priority.

If you are led to participate with New Heights Ministry through financial support, you have three areas of ministry that you can support. You can give to the ministry itself that provides all the funding to operate the ministry, as presented through our newsletters and website. A second area of giving can be to sponsor a specific evangelist. Your gift of $35 per month and daily prayers enable an evangelist to afford food, lodging, and travel expenses needed as they visit villages each month. The third area of giving is to contribute to the design of the church/community center.
