ONE SOUL AT A TIME. You may recall from our last quarterly newsletter that our mission director Jung Dangshing spent time ministering and evangelizing Pansak Jitsawang, a well-educated Thai man who was born into a family with a Muslim father and a Buddhist mother. Pansak had also married a Christian woman. Struggling to resolve the conflicting religions, Jung was called in by one of our New Heights Ministry evangelists to help Pansak discover the one true faith. After two weeks of intense Bible teaching from Jung, Pansak believed and was baptized. But, this is not the end of the story. In August, New Heights Ministry led a Mothers’ Day celebration in the Hoey Luang village. The Thais hold their parents in very high regard. Below is a photo of village mothers with their children. What is important to note is that the older woman, third from the left, is Pansak’s Buddhist mother.

Since his salvation, Pansak has been witnessing to his mother about Jesus and arranged for her to be honored in the celebration held in the Hoey Luang Christian Church. In the photo below, Pansak is kneeling before his mother to thank her for all that she has done for him. This opportunity allowed Pansak’s mother to experience the gracious love of Christians.
New Heights Ministry values every opportunity to share Christ with others and continually follow up with villagers, like Pansak, who are open to hearing more about Jesus. Our mission director Jung, Pastor Chakrapong, and ministry evangelists understand that committed, one-on-one relationships and whole-person evangelism are the best approaches to lead villagers to Christ. We have found that new Christians will in turn introduce Jesus to family members and other villagers. Jesus offers life, abundant life in the present, and a glorious life for eternity. It’s a powerful message and the fruit of our labors is shown in Pansak helping his Buddhist mother experience the love of Jesus. Please join us in praying for Pansak as he grows in Christ and for his mother to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

New Heights Ministry also distributed special gifts and food to each of the mothers. The gift of special food, not easily acquired in the villages, allows the mothers to prepare special meals for their families. New Heights strives to bless believers in a way that allows those blessed to be a blessing to others. Enabling Christians to be a blessing to others multiplies the love of Christ within the village. Your prayer and financial support of New Heights Ministry is at work saving souls, one at a time. Our evangelists and mission director dedicate whatever time it takes to save each soul, knowing that they will become part of the growing light of Christ in their villages. A tenant of our ministry is regular visits to each village to strengthen relationships and help new Christians mature in their faith. We praise God that you are part of our ministry.

HELPING VILLAGE CHURCHES REACH OUT. On most Sundays, our mission director Jung visits a village where one of our mission evangelists lives and ministers. New Height Ministry evangelist La Euepanawan, lives in the village of Chomkitti, of the Mae Hong Son province. La loves the Lord and is deeply dedicated to the spreading of the Gospel among his fellow Karen people in the region around Chomkitti. On this particular weekend, mission director Jung, along with New Heights evangelists Duangdee Choetcharatsakun, Tawi Kongsathidee, and Sukchai Kiatdee visited Chomkitti Church to support La and his ministry, and to encourage Chomkitti Church members. Chomkitti is a small village but every Sunday the Chomkitti church is crowded with people. Many of the church members are from small villages in the vicinity of Chomkitti. The church also attracts young people and their parents who attend a school in the area which is nearby Chomkitti. This Thai school is the only school available for the children of families in the Refugee Camp of Myanmar people. The refugees walk to this school and have learned of the Chomkitti church and are walking to the church on Sundays.

Chomkitti church members were blessed and uplifted by our team’s visit. After the church service, church members were encouraged by small donation items provided by the New Heights Ministry. An old saying says ‘a friend in need is a friend indeed’ – New Heights Ministry is so blessed and thanks God for allowing us to be His hands and instruments providing the needs of others.

The Myanmar children born in refugee camps do not belong to any country. They are not considered Thai or Myanmar. They are not given any identification card nor do they have any rights. They will not be able to return to Myanmar with their parents and their future is bleak with
the possibility of having to spend their lives in the refugee camps. The Chomkitti Church has become their family and home country. New Heights Ministry is privileged to support the Chomkitti Church in ministering to the local villages and the refugees in the name of Jesus Christ. On this particular Sunday, the New Heights Ministry was able to care for the spiritual and physical needs of the whole congregation.
Evangelist La and the Chomkitti church members were greatly blessed by our team’s visit and we were greatly blessed to share the love of Jesus with them. These church visits by the New Heights Ministry team occur throughout Northern Thailand. Your prayers and financial support enable New Heights Ministry to share the Good News and love of Jesus Christ. Less than five percent of the people living in Thailand are Christians. So, there is much work to be done.
EVANGELISM ON THE MOVE. New Heights Ministry evangelist Duangdee Choetcharatsakum lives in Kun Mae La, a small village 100 kilometers away from Mae Ka Tai Church where he is serving.

He travels 200 kilometers every weekend to Mae Ka Tai to serve on Sundays and goes back to Kun Mae La on Mondays to farm and work in the fields. Duangdee is a faithful servant and dedicated to serving the Kingdom of God. New Heights Ministry evangelists like Duangdee are reaching the remotest areas of Northern Thailand. New Heights does not yet have the finances to support our evangelists in full-time ministry. So our evangelists farm to provide for their families and serve God on weekends throughout the year and extensively during the time between the harvest and planting. Please consider making a monthly donation to the New Heights Ministry to allow us to increase the financial support of our nine New Heights evangelists. There are more evangelists desiring support from the New Heights Ministry.
New Heights Ministry mission director Jung travels throughout Northern Thailand visiting villages, encouraging our evangelists, conducting Bible training, ministering in the Refugee Camps, and interacting with government officials to coordinate community development projects and public events. While traveling, Jung uses every encounter to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. In the photo below, Jung has made friends with two unbelievers. They are unbelievers at the moment, but hopefully, they will soon become new believers with the help of the New Heights Ministry.

SPECIAL PRAYER REQUESTS.
Northern Thailand has been overwhelmed by heavy rains and widespread flooding placing the October harvest in grave jeopardy. The vast majority of people living in Northern Thailand are farmers and their only source of income is the harvest. Please pray that the rain and flooding subsides quickly and the harvest will be saved.
In the last week, severe flooding has hit Chiang Mai where our mission director Jung Dangshing lives. Jung’s home was flooded with three feet of water. The water is now subsiding leaving an extensive amount of mud and debris inside the home. The city’s water supply is no longer safe to drink, complicating matters. Please pray for Jung and his wife’s health and strength to recover from the flood.
Please pray for the Bible Training Seminar in the Maela Ma Luang Refugee Camp, February 2 to 10, 2025.
